Bedrock Beta v0.4.0 “Überlord” Now Live!
Hey folks,
As always with a new patch — there will be a few bugs but we’re fairly certain the ones that break the game have been fixed. This is due in no small part to those of you who opted in during the preview phase. During the past week we pushed 14 updates to our preview branch in rapid succession thanks to the numerous bug reports submitted by our early testers.
If you enjoyed the preview phase let us know! We’re considering using the same process for every major update.
Thanks again to our early testers who helped us squash dozens of game-shattering bugs. Without your selfless work searching for (and reproducing) bugs we wouldn’t have been able to launch this update today!
UI Overhaul
The UI has received a massive overhaul and at first you might find yourselves a bit lost — to make the transition as easy as possible check out the video above to learn how all the different parts work.
We highly recommend you watch the video as the new UI is a big change from the old one!
We’re eagerly waiting for feedback on this patch so make sure to reach out on our forums, Kickstarter, Steam or our website and let us know what you think.
That’s it for this week, we’ll be back in seven days with your regularly scheduled update.
Until next time Underlord
– WFTO Team
The previews were great and it was fun to test them and report bugs about them! 🙂
Wow, really stunning and awesome advancement.
This WILL BE the game everyone is waiting for.
this is absolutely brilliant progression. but still the same equipment and spread so evenly in some rooms? come on its 2014
We spread props evenly in all rooms with props to conform with player expectation. This way you know when you build a specific size of room just how many props will be available.
That said we agree that rooms could do with looking a little less formulaic and clean, we plan to add clutter later down the line which should help make rooms appear more unique and “Dungeony”
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome! I can’t wait for the full game. 🙂
Uugh… the performance on Raskos domain is horrible!
And i’m on 3.6Ghz Core i5 with 8GB RAM and GTX670.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!
Looking good guys ^^
i have a problem i’m playing on mac but it wont start up, do i have to wait longer or chainge start up settings or something ?
Sadly, the mac version is not up to date at this point due to a memory bug :(. Luckily, the unity devs are aware of the problem and are working on a fix for it so hopefully you will be able to play soon 🙂
i really cant wait !! thanks for the response and keep up the good work!
Good work guys. You’ve really started bringing it together now I’m really happy with the progress! Am a tier 8 backer and really look forward to the weekly updates! Keep it up 🙂
It is sooooo fucking awesome.
Keep on working!
It is getting more and more into what I wanted, keep up the good work and take your time!
Bravo for bringing back the old Dungeon Keeper vibe I salute you good sirs.
any multiplayer news?
We’ve made large strides with Multiplayer behind the scenes, however we’re not yet ready to show it off. This is likely to be something we’re focusing on for the next major patch 🙂
Just tried the new Patch and holy shit that´s a lot of stuff. Keep Up the good work.
multiplayer for the next big patch sounds amazing ! i cant wait to try that
I played it…amazingly good! But I can’t help but notice how clunky performance is and my rig is a beast…
When i saw today that a new game of dungeon keeper was on steam, i have cried of joy. I told it to two of my friend the good new and we bought each a copy on steam. The game is very good for now but major bug occur. We have very good machines to run the game, but this last seem to lag terribly. Like the demo level with the other keeper. outch! The game freeze and a crash occur. Or, the rally point dont do the job (all units doesnt move). We are waiting with impatience the next patch to correct these bugs! Good continuation!
Optimizing incoming! 🙂
Really enjoyed playing the new patch!! Keep up the good work guys and gals 🙂
Still getting some slight framerate problems when making huge dungeons. Consider further toning down light sources. Rooms don’t need a light source every wall tile. I’m talking about you Crypt and Archives.
It’s almost time to take my money!!! Wooo!
