Hey folks,

However, we have some unfortunate news regarding the patch: we’ve encountered an unexpected issue that has temporarily delayed our updated UI — this means that the patch is going to be released slightly later than expected. We’re going to show off many of the new assets and features during our livestream tonight.

Because our current UI is being replaced soon, the assets related to our 0.4.0 patch are inaccessible through our current system. This basically means we can’t force the patch out because there would be no way to access the new content.

We’re terribly sorry about this. The problem that came up is, unfortunately, completely out of our hands. We’ll have an update regarding the patch as soon as we have more information.

If you simply refuse to wait until the patch is properly launched — we have an alternative for you! We’re going to open up an early, opt-in version of the patch with a Steam beta branch. To learn how to opt-in to the early build please head on over to this thread to opt-in now, we will be pushing the patch out with further instructions tomorrow.

  2. Slightly later? Come on guys. We asked on steam 2 weeks ago when the patch would be released you said in 2 weeks, now you say another 2 weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not fussing over the delay, I get this happens but let’s keep a realistic time perspective. 2 weeks is not “slightly” later. Looking forward to the week after the next.

      We’re deeply sorry that we couldn’t hit the release for this, the 0.4.0 patch is incredibly ambitious in scope and due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn’t get everything working in the time required.

      We’re continuing to work on 0.4.0 though some of the team have been away at Rezzed while others have been ill and this has slowed progress slightly.

    • Common, some of us have waited more then ten years to get an spiritual successor of Dungeon Keeper. This isn’t just an generic game from the disposable society of today. This is an heritage of an gamelegend. So I dont think that hurry up is the “right” way if the endgame has bugs over bugs. I agree that I would love to have more often an steamupdate but I know that it’s worth to wait. :)

  4. Dammit, I want to know when will this game be done? Will it ever.. I know I could play beta, but I don’t want betas.. or demos.. Then I will just come to that point in the game where I can’t play further cuz of beta or demo. I want the real thing. When can I buy and play the full version? :)

    • Hi Celeronen,

      We do not currently have an official release date, however we are looking to release sometime in 2014. If the game requires more work on top of that it may push our plans back a bit, we want to ensure the game is as good as it can be straight out the door.

  5. hey guys, is this normal, if i start the game play and build for… 15 minutes, the game will be stucky like my grafic card is 5 years too old ?
    i have all the recommend system requirements (x2^^)so it have to be a performance problem. pls guys fix that ^^
    at the moment the game is unplayable because of that. restart all 15 minutes ?
    fix that^^
    anyone else with that problems here ?

    • Hi Madcrazy,

      Your issue is something we hear a lot, something that even our best computers suffer from. What you’re experiencing is primarily due to the fact the game is unoptimised at the moment.

      We’ll be doing a major optimisation pass down the line that will hopefully make the game run much smoother. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

  6. Hey guys, great work. Disregard all of the “entitlement syndrome” of the thread above – things like this happen and it’s sad people are so impatient they disregard the fact that you guys have lives outside your jobs. Furthermore most people have little appreciation or understanding for how much work goes into every aspect of games these days.

    You’re doing great, which is much better then many people can say for other kick starters. Keep it up! Can’t wait to see where this goes.

    i just wanna know if i be the onley one with that problem, or(its normal at the moment) that some other had the problems too.
    i was asking that, because i wanna know if it lies on my hardware or not thats all.
    so please dont speak so bad about people, if you dont know the reason for there asking.

    by the way awesome work guys im sure it will be the best keeper like game ever

  8. Hey gents,

    Just a couple things. I really like the beastmaster, without glowing eyes. I personally think liberties like that should stay grounded in the supernatural (shadows, embers), but leave the organic beasts based upon familiar notions.

    When you rebuild walls, can they look slightly different, so that it shows they have been rebuilt, instead of looking like they were never touched. Even if it is just a subtle change…

    Can the freeze spell just cover the ground so it looks like it just immobilizes feet? Maybe instead of a cube shape, it could be radius based like the underminer…

    Very glad to see the tile lights have been addressed…

    • When I said beastmaster, I meant Behemoth…. In the video, you guys said you wanted to give him glowing eyes…
